Hospice Personal Care Aides
Here at West Michigan Hospice, we’re one big team that works together every day, and we wouldn’t be able to properly serve our patients without the help of our kind and knowledgeable personal care aides. Our experienced aides have a heart for providing compassionate care to each and every patient and will do what it takes to help them thrive.
All of our personal care aides assist with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, toileting, meal preparation, and more. They possess Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials and extensive knowledge of this field and the patients we serve.
What Are Hospice Personal Care Aides?
Personal care aides work with our patients’ physicians, social workers, and nurses to provide individualized care for each patient. Typically, they’ll visit patients 2-3 times per week and spend time assisting with personal care tasks.
Services provided by hospice personal care aides could include:
- Showering or bathing
- Shaving
- Dressing
- Oral care and denture care
- Light housekeeping
- Help with toileting or incontinence care
- Turning and repositioning bed-bound patients
- Assistance with ambulation (walking)
- Range of motion exercises

Yes. Hospice care services are 100% covered by Medicare and Medicaid, which includes personal care aide services.
